Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 28 April 2025 Β· Cendana, Singapore
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in any programme offered by Cendana. Please read them at your own pace before enrolling. By submitting an enquiry or completing a registration, you are confirming that you have read and understood these terms.
1. About Cendana
Cendana is a financial education provider registered in Singapore. Our registered address is 85 South Bridge Road, #06-21, Singapore 058711. We offer structured educational programmes for adults aged forty and above. Our programmes are educational in character. We are not a licensed financial adviser, and nothing in our programmes, materials or communications constitutes financial advice under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) of Singapore.
2. Scope of These Terms
These terms apply to:
- All visitors to this website, including those who browse without submitting any form
- Persons who submit an enquiry, contact form or registration expression of interest
- Persons who enrol in and attend any Cendana programme
Where a separate written agreement exists between Cendana and a participant or organisation, the terms of that agreement take precedence over these Terms and Conditions to the extent of any inconsistency.
3. Our Programmes
Cendana currently offers three programmes:
- Foundations Conversation Series β a three-session introduction to household finances, CPF and long-range planning. Held in small groups. SGD 280 per participant.
- The Considered Investor β a seven-week course covering investment fundamentals, fund structures, platforms and asset allocation. Limited to sixteen participants per cohort. SGD 440 per participant.
- The Private Household Review β a four-session bespoke programme for individual households, producing a written household summary. SGD 740 per household.
Programme details, including dates, session format and facilitator information, are communicated to registered participants by email ahead of each programme. We reserve the right to adjust programme content, scheduling and format in response to circumstances, with reasonable notice given to enrolled participants.
4. Not Financial Advice
All content presented in our programmes, printed materials, website and communications is provided for educational purposes only. Nothing Cendana produces, says or distributes should be construed as:
- A recommendation to purchase, sell or hold any financial product or security
- An assessment of your personal financial circumstances
- Tax advice, legal advice or accounting advice
- A prediction of investment outcomes
Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser, accountant or solicitor before making financial decisions. Cendana facilitators may use illustrative examples and case studies; these are for learning purposes and are not representations of actual returns or outcomes.
5. Enrolment and Fees
Expressions of interest submitted through this website do not constitute a confirmed enrolment. A place is confirmed only when Cendana sends a written confirmation and full payment has been received.
Fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Payment instructions are provided in the confirmation communication. Cendana reserves the right to decline or cancel any registration at its discretion, in which case any fee paid will be refunded in full.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:
- More than fourteen days before the first session: full refund of fees paid, less a SGD 25 administration charge.
- Seven to fourteen days before the first session: fifty per cent refund of fees paid.
- Less than seven days before the first session: no refund is available. Where possible, we will endeavour to accommodate transfer of your place to a subsequent cohort.
Cancellation requests should be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The date of receipt of your written request is used to determine which cancellation tier applies.
7. Cendana's Right to Cancel
In rare circumstances β including insufficient enrolments, illness of a facilitator, or events beyond our reasonable control β Cendana may need to cancel or postpone a scheduled programme. In such cases, enrolled participants will be notified as promptly as practicable and offered either a transfer to the next available cohort or a full refund of fees paid. Cendana will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by participants as a result of such a cancellation, including travel or accommodation costs.
8. Conduct at Sessions
Our programmes are conducted in a collegial atmosphere, where participants are treated with consideration and respect. We ask that all participants extend the same consideration to facilitators and fellow participants. Cendana reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session if, in the facilitator's judgement, their conduct is disruptive or disrespectful to others. In such a case, no refund will be provided for sessions not attended.
Sessions may not be recorded by participants in any format without prior written consent from Cendana.
9. Intellectual Property
All written materials, printed booklets, slide presentations, case studies and other content produced by Cendana remain the intellectual property of Cendana. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for their own private learning purposes.
Materials may not be reproduced, shared, distributed or used commercially without Cendana's prior written consent. This includes reproduction on social media platforms, corporate intranets or any other public or semi-public channel.
10. Website Use
This website is provided for informational purposes. You may use it to learn about our programmes and to make an enquiry. You may not use it for any unlawful purpose, to scrape content, to interfere with its operation, or to submit false or misleading information through our contact form.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and current. However, we do not warrant that it is free from errors or omissions, and we reserve the right to amend content without notice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Cendana's aggregate liability to any participant or website user in connection with its programmes, materials or website shall not exceed the total fees paid by that person for the relevant programme. Cendana shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of income, loss of savings or investment losses, howsoever arising.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Cendana's negligence, fraud or any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Privacy and Data
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By submitting an enquiry or registration, you confirm that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
Cendana may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of this website or participation in programmes after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
