§ II — Why Cendana

What You Can Expect When You Come to a Session

We have thought carefully about how financial education works best for people who have been working for twenty or thirty years and who deserve to be treated as capable adults.

Small, Considered Groups

Sessions are limited to eight or sixteen participants so that there is space for questions and reflection. No one is left behind, and no one dominates.

No Products, No Commissions

Cendana is an education provider only. We do not sell financial products, hold dealer licences, or earn referral fees. What we say in the room is not shaped by what we sell after it.

Convenient City Location

Our seminar room near South Bridge Road is accessible from multiple MRT lines and has comfortable seating, natural light, and light refreshments at each session.

Printed Materials to Keep

Each programme comes with a well-designed printed booklet. The material is yours to re-read, mark up, and share with a spouse or family member at your own pace.

Paced to Suit Your Schedule

Sessions are held on weekend mornings and selected weekday evenings. The bespoke programme is arranged around the household's own calendar and availability.

Respectful of Your Privacy

In the household review programme, all documents you share are handled with discretion and returned or deleted once the programme is complete. We do not retain personal financial data.

§ IV — Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these programmes designed for?
The programmes are designed for adults in Singapore who are in their forties or fifties and who feel they would like a clearer understanding of their household finances. They are suitable for those who have not followed financial news closely before, as well as those who have some familiarity but want to think more carefully about the years ahead.
Do I need any financial knowledge before attending?
No prior knowledge is needed for the Foundations Conversation Series or The Private Household Review. The Considered Investor course assumes some basic familiarity with savings accounts and CPF, but we begin from first principles before moving to more detailed content.
Is Cendana a licensed financial adviser?
No. Cendana is an education provider. We do not hold a Financial Advisers licence and we do not give regulated financial advice. Our programmes are intended to help you understand concepts, ask better questions, and make more considered decisions — but the decisions remain yours, and we encourage you to work with appropriately licensed professionals for specific recommendations.
Where are the sessions held?
Group sessions are held in our seminar room at 85 South Bridge Road, #06-21, Singapore 058711. The location is within walking distance of several MRT stations in the Central Business District. Bespoke household review sessions can, in some circumstances, be arranged at a location convenient to the household.
When do the programmes run?
Group programmes run in cohorts three times a year — typically in February, June and October. The Foundations series runs monthly. The bespoke household review is arranged around the household's own schedule and is available year-round.
What is included in the programme fee?
The fee covers all sessions, the printed programme booklet, light refreshments during group sessions, and access to the facilitator for questions by email for four weeks following the programme's conclusion. There are no additional charges during the programme.
Can my spouse attend with me?
Yes, and we think it often works well when both partners in a household attend together. For group programmes, each participant registers separately. For the Private Household Review, the programme is designed for the household as a whole, and both partners attending is the standard arrangement.
